Welcome to the Granary, our family owned and run café-bar-bistro located in the market town of Tadcaster.  We are ideally located between York and Leeds as well as being close to the A1 which is just 2 miles away, making us the ideal spot for a break in your journey.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant is decorated in contemporary bistro style and with just 12 tables provides an informal and relaxing venue during the day.  The room then provides an intimate bistro atmosphere in the evening, welcoming families, couples and groups of all ages. The menu is designed using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally where possible.  We are proud to work with our meat suppliers Sykes House Farm of Wetherby and Russell Hume of Boroughbridge and our fish suppliers HodgsonFish of Hartlepool. We get our fruit and veg from Direct Fruit Supplies of Leeds and our general goods from Miller Food Service of York.

Our evening menu is changed regularly to reflect the seasons including English asparagus, local game, summer fruits, and Jersey Royal potatoes to name just a few.   We are proud of our freshly ground coffee sourced from local coffee experts Caffe Society.  Our chefs bake fresh cakes and pastries every day so our guests are welcome to enjoy anything from coffee and a slice of cake to a full meal throughout the day.
